Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses play to help children deal with emotional and mental health issues.

Play helps the therapist understand the childs needs needs through a non-directive approach which is neurobiologically informed. It is not essential that the child tell the story through talking as what emerges through play will often create its own narrative about what is happening in the childs inner world.

Play Therapy is suitable for children aged 2 and above. Research shows that play therapy is very effective in addressing traumatic experiences that occur in early life.
